Case Study: Peak Adventure Itinerary Planning

Short form
A dynamic itinerary planner that let an aggregator of small travel brands assemble adaptable package tours from many suppliers, and reuse that intelligence across every brand they owned.
The challenge
Peak Adventure Travel aggregates many small travel offerings into package tours, taking travellers to a destination full of activities from camel rides to boat cruises. The experiences had to suit very different travellers, from eco-conscious tourists to luxury seekers, adapt to seasonal change, and respond to sudden shifts such as political events or a supplier going out of business. Assembling all of that by hand limited how quickly Peak could respond.
What we built
We built a dynamic itinerary planning system that gave Peak the flexibility to create customised package tours. It captures detailed local data on suppliers, offerings, prices and booking requirements; designs diverse itineraries that adapt to seasons and preferences while fitting a set budget; assembles different styles of package for groups; and reuses that intelligence across the various Peak-owned brands.
The outcome
By aggregating travel needs across its brands, Peak could negotiate much better discounts with suppliers like airlines and hotel chains, which meant better prices for customers and healthier margins for the business. Shared intelligence let the brands collaborate and innovate on richer offers, and having all the data to hand made Peak far more responsive when conditions changed. Travellers gained better pricing, a smoother and more adaptable trip, and more variety tailored to what they were looking for.
