The challenge

Medium to large accounting practices needed to coordinate a distributed workforce from one place: assigning and tracking remote work, planning jobs for individual staff, and keeping time and budgets under control on every job.

What we built

Workflow Plus enables those practices to move to a cloud platform that coordinates their distributed workforce efficiently. It handles remote work assignment and tracking, job planning and tasking for individual staff members, and easy time reporting and budget tracking per job. Redgum provided the technical expertise, developers, project management and the coordination of leadership, UX designers and business domain experts, all delivered on the Redgum Deliver platform. Because APS faced a hard market deadline, Redgum coordinated and scaled a very large combined team — APS staff, Redgum, and two other companies — compressing roughly two years of development into four and a half months. The platform launched on time.

The outcome

Beyond the product itself, the build gave APS a reference application and proof of concept for the wider suite, plus critical feedback their larger internal team could use when building other products. Capability that served customers and taught the organisation how to build the next thing.
