Case Study: Hitachi Data Systems Peer Review System

Short form
A staff review system that busy executives can work through anywhere, connected or not, turning downtime into productive time.
The challenge
Hitachi Data Systems needed its executives to complete a structured review process for their staff, but those executives are rarely at a desk with a clean connection. A key moment was time spent on a plane, or otherwise disconnected from the company servers, which was downtime that could have been used to catch up but usually went to waste.
What we built
We built a solution that lets executives work through the structured staff review process anywhere and anytime, whether they are connected to the office or not. The review travels with them rather than waiting for them to be back online.
The outcome
Busy executives could turn wasted time, such as a long flight, into productive time. Just as usefully, the metadata from those reviews fed back into a view of how individuals, teams and departments were progressing, surfacing group strengths and the opportunities worth acting on.
