An airfare import and validation tool that let Peak's staff try, retry and optimise the tickets they offered, cutting errors and lifting margins.
The challenge
Defining the airfares Peak would offer meant handling a lot of ticket data, and invalid or missing data caused errors that cost sales and support time. Staff needed a way to shape and test their offers quickly without those mistakes creeping in.
What we built
We defined a very easy-to-use import format so staff could rapidly set out all the tickets they intended to offer, then built import and validation automation that let them try and retry options until they reached an optimum solution.
The outcome
The tool saved significant time and, more importantly, cut the errors that came from invalid or missing data. That lifted Peak's sale rate, optimised their resale margins and reduced the effort spent on first-line sales and support. Their travel customers, in turn, could get the best discount airfares to suit their itinerary.
