Case Study: Lilydale POS System

Short form
A point-of-sale system built to fit the exact steps Lilydale's staff and customers take, connected to ordering and warehousing so pickup is quick and calm.
The challenge
The front office is a traditionally high-pressure role, especially in peak booklist season. Locating and scanning individual books, entering costs and keeping stock levels current took time and added friction at exactly the moment customers wanted to be quick.
What we built
We built a point-of-sale system tailored to how Lilydale actually sells, and integrated it with their ordering and warehousing systems. A parent collecting their children's books can scan a QR code or search by the child's surname and have the whole package ready to go. Costs, stock levels and pickup all update behind the scenes.
The outcome
The system takes the friction out of a role that used to carry it. Staff spend far less time locating and scanning books, entering costs and updating warehousing, and customers get a seamless experience: walk in, scan the order, collect the books and get on with the day. It is another layer in a Lilydale capability build that compounded over time, alongside the booklist and ebook platforms.
